• Selection of the recipients for the 1968 Boardwalk Bowl Football Team Endowment shall be amde by the Head Coach of the Football Team and the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.

• Must be enrolled full time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
• Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree offered by the Department of Food and Nutrition.
• Preference for students who have attained junior standing, as defined by the university, at the time of receipt.
• Preference for students with a minimum IUP GPA of 3.5.
• Preference for students pursuing a Dietetics track.
• Preference for Caucasian female students.
• Preference for US citizens.

• The Fund is to be used to support students taking part in a summer program through the Cook Honors College who are enrolled in or have graduated from one of the following Pennsylvania high schools: Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, Cambria Heights High School, Central Cambria High School, or Penn Cambria High School.
• Should there be no eligible candidates taking part in a summer program, then the Fund is to be used to support students receiving achievement funding through the Cook Honors College (i.e. support for students involved in internships, research, or study abroad) who have graduated from one of the following Pennsylvania high schools: Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, Cambria Heights High School, Central Cambria High School, or Penn Cambria High School.

• Must be enrolled in the dual enrollment program at IUP.
• Must be enrolled in one of the following Pennsylvania high schools: Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, Cambria Heights High School, Central Cambria High School, or Penn Cambria High School. The first preference is to students from Cambria Heights High School. Should there be no candidates from Cambria Heights High School, students from the other three schools may be considered.
• Preference for students with financial need.
• Preference for first-generation college students.
• Recipients may only receive the scholarship during one academic year with no possibility of renewal.

• Must be a graduate of any high school and be ranked in the top 25 percent of his/her graduating class and meet the admission requirements to IUP.
• Must submit an application for scholarship consideration to the chairperson of the Department of HRIM, including a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher.
• Maintenance of the scholarship award for a second semester will be dependent on the satisfactory progress toward a degree in HRIM and the achievement of a 2.5 grade point average at the end of the first semester. If the recipient does not meet the criteria for the second semester, another qualified student will be selected for the award.
• Deadline for the submission of applications is May 1 for the following fall semester.

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology at IUP.
• Must be in good academic standing with the University.
• Must demonstrate self-reliance, maturity and flexibility to deal with the challenges and opportunities associated with the college's academic programs.
• For initial selection, preference will be given to students who have maintained the highest academic standards while in high school and who are determined by IUP's Financial Aid office to have financial need.

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in the College of Business at Indiana University of Pennsylvania
• Must have a grade point average of at least 3.25 on the date a student applies for the scholarship
• Must demonstrate self-reliance, maturity and flexibility to deal with the challenges and opportunities associated with the college's academic programs
• Preference will be given to students who have financial need
• The eligible recipient may retain the annual award if they continue to meet the selection criteria

• Each Educational Recipient must be a resident of Western Pennsylvania who can verify residency for at least two (2) years prior to receiving a grant. "Western Pennsylvania" is defined as residency in any of the following counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Somerset, Venango, Warren, Washington, and Westmoreland.
• Each Educational Recipient must be enrolled currently in an accredited college or university and must have completed at least one full-time year of studies in a baccalaureate (BS/BA) or graduate program within the prior four (4) months before being eligible to apply for a grant.
• Part time students, those who have taken a semester (or longer) off, and students who have recently transferred must complete one full-time year before becoming eligible for a grant. Those pursuing their studies on a part time basis will be considered by the Trustees but preference will be given to those devoting full time to their studies (i.e., those carrying a full credit load of at least twelve (12) credits per semester).
• Each Educational Recipient must maintain good academic standing (minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA for the most recent two semesters).
• Each Educational Recipient must demonstrate financial need for assistance, as determined by the Trustees in their sole discretion (in consultation with the financial aid office of the educational institution recommending the student for a grant).

• Must be enrolled full-time pursuing a degree in accounting.
• Preference for students with financial need as defined by the university.

• Must be a full-time student enrolled at the University
• Must have earned a minimum 24 credit hours and have a minimum GPA of 2.1
• Preference shall be given to African American students

• Must be enrolled full time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and be participating members of the IUP Football Team;
• Must be incoming freshmen who graduated from a high school within Armstrong County, Pennsylvania;
• Should there be no incoming freshmen, the scholarship may be awarded to current IUP football players who graduated from an Armstrong County high school. If no current IUP football players are from an Armstrong County high school, the scholarship may be awarded to players from high schools located in counties adjacent to Armstrong County. (Butler, Clarion, Indiana, Jefferson, Westmoreland)

• Must be a full time student enrolled in the College of Education and majoring in Elementary Education.
• Must be of good character and demonstrate achievement in academic and/or community work.
• Must provide at least one letter of recommendation from an individual who is personally familiar with the student.
• Preference given to students who live within the geographic area in the following order of priority: South Fork, PA; Cambria, Westmoreland and Indiana counties; other counties within Pennsylvania; and thereafter, students from any other state of the United States of America.
• Renewal of the scholarship will be contingent upon the recipient maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average each year.
• The University Selection Committee, in cooperation with the College of Education, will review the qualifications of students who meet the criteria outlined in this document and award scholarships to those who best exemplify the criteria and characteristics so stated by the Donor.

1. Must be a declared major in Early Childhood-Special Education
2. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated financial need
3. Applicants who are current IUP students or transfer students must have a 3.25 GPA. Applicants who are entering freshmen must have a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale high school GPA or equivalent

• Scholarship recipient must have achieved at least junior standing (57-90 credits) in the nursing program and be enrolled on a full-time basis at the University.
• Students must have maintained a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average in the nursing program at IUP.
• Students must demonstrate participation in school and/or community activities as well as a commitment to serving or assisting others.
• Renewal of the scholarship will be based upon the recipient's maintaining the standards established by the inital criteria of the Scholarship Fund. Selection of the scholarhip recipients will be the responsibility of the University Selection Committee.

• Must be enrolled full time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
• Must have financial need as determined by the university.

• Be enrolled as a declared major in the Department of Music, the Department of Biology or the Department of Special Education and Clinical Services (specifically in Education of Exceptional Persons)
• Must demonstrate significant financial need
• Must demonstrate good academic standing and the promise of future success in their chosen field as determined by the scholarship committee or faculty within the assigned academic departments.

• Be enrolled as a declared major in the Department of Music, the Department of Biology or the Department of Special Education and Clinical Services (specifically in Education of Exceptional Persons)
• Must demonstrate significant financial need
• Must demonstrate good academic standing and the promise of future success in their chosen field as determined by the scholarship committee or faculty within the assigned academic departments.

• Must be enrolled in the Robert E. Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania;
• Must be a sophomore or junior according to the University's classification standards at the time of use;
• Must have at least a 3.25 GPA at time of selection;
• Must submit a personal statement detailing educational and career goals;
• Preference will be given to a Robert E. Cook Honors College student with a declared major within the Eberly College of Business;
• Preference will be given to students from one of the following counties in western Pennsylvania: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Somerset, Venango, Warren, Washington, Westmoreland;
• Preference will be given to students with financial need.

• Must be a junior or senior (as defined by current University guidelines) at time of use
• Must be a Special Education major in the College of Education and Educational Technology at time of use
• Preference for a 3.0 GPA in the selected major at the time of selection
• Preference will be given to students who have financial need.

• Must be a declared major in Pre K-4 Early Childhood with Special Education K-8
• Awarded to students with at minimum junior standing, renewable for their senior year without re-applying
• Must demonstrate financial need
• Must meet academic merit requirements as set forth by the College of Education and Educational Technology

• Must be enrolled in the Robert E. Cook Honors College;
• A minimum of 5 scholarships, awarded in increments of $1,000 to $5,000 based on candidates complete financial aid request and the meeting of other criteria, with not less then $10,000 in total being awarded for scholarships per annum.
• Preference to recipients whose families are within Indiana County and secondarily to those in Western Pennsylvania. They are to be citizens of the United States. Strong preference is to be given to those who are descendants of families from historically small mining communities.
• Preference is to be given to students of low-income backgrounds and those from working, lower- to middle-class families possessing limited resources for higher education. Additionally, award selection will give preference to students who are working to provide their own resources. Specifically, it is required to broaden criteria for financial need above ""poverty status"" to include lower to middle-class families and to help counter the significant backlash society is now experiencing in this area. It is expected that students selected above the traditional ""financial needs"" limits must be exemplary candidates.
• Recipients are awarded and maintain scholarships through their four-year undergraduate study, provided they maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA as well as perform 60 hours of community/volunteer service per academic year. Should an awarded student withdraw from the Robert E. Cook Honors College, he/she may maintain the award provided they remain enrolled at IUP and are in otherwise good standing.

• Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student
• Must be considered a Distinguished Achiever as defined by the Distinguished Achiever Scholar program criteria of: rank in the top tenth of their high school class at the end of the junior year, and/or have scored at least 1,100 on their SAT or Act equivalent
• Preference given to students who are declared Hospitality Management majors.

• Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student with a declared trombone major in the Department of Music within the College of Fine Arts.
• Must have successfully earned a minimum of fifty (50) credits at IUP.
• Must have an overall grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
• Must demonstrate exemplary performing technique on the trombone.
• Must show a continued interest and involvement in music department ensembles, performances and guest artist activities.
• Recipients may be considered for additional scholarship support during subsequent years if the student(s) continues to meet the award criteria.

• Must be a mathematics major completing their sophomore or junior year at IUP, who best reflects the character and interests of Captain Arthur G. Morrell, a graduate in mathematics of IUP, United States Marine Pilot and IUP football captain.
• Students may apply for the award or be nominated by a mathematics faculty member.
• Selection of the award recipient shall be made by a committee composed of faculty and the current chairman of the mathematics department of IUP.

• An incoming freshman to IUP who has graduated from the Indiana Area Senior High School.
• Who was enrolled in the Business Department at the Indiana Area Senior High School.
• Who is a full-time student enrolled in the College of Business of IUP.

• An incoming freshman to IUP who has graduated from the Indiana Area Senior High School.
• Who was enrolled in the Business Department at the Indiana Area Senior High School.
• Who is a full-time student enrolled in the College of Business of IUP.

1. Must be enrolled full time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania pursuing a Fine Arts degree.
2. Must demonstrate financial need as defined by the university.
3. Must be in good academic standing at the time of selection.
4. Preference for students pursuing a degree in Art Education.
5. Preference given to students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of selection.

• Must be a music major in the Department of Music, in the College of Fine Arts;
• Preference given to students studying the organ at time of selection;
• Preference given to an incoming freshman.
• The scholarship may be a renewable scholarship each year if the student applies and maintains good academic standing at the end of the spring semester.

• Preference should be given to a graduate of a high school within Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
• Must be of good character and demonstrate outstanding achievement in academic and/or community work.
• Must provide at least one recommendation from an individual who is personally familiar with the student's work, i.e., teacher or other high school official, a community figure, an IUP faculty member or alumnus.
• Renewal of the scholarship will be contingent upon the recipient maintaining a 3.0 cumulative grade point average each year.
• Although not a specific requirement to the receipt of scholarship monies, it is the desire of the Grantors that recipients, during the course of their academic study or after graduation, consider assisting with educational projects in Clearfield County to benefit public school students as a way of sharing the opportunities received at IUP with others in the community.

• Must be enrolled full time pursuing a degree in Nursing.
• Preference for racial minority students.
• Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the university.
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

• The Freshman Scholarship fund it to be used to offer scholarships to students who have been admitted to the freshman class at IUP for the next academic year as a major in a program offered by the Mathematics Department (Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Mathematics/Economics, Secondary Mathematics Education).
• Eligible students should have an SAT Mathematics score of approximately 650 and be in the top 20% of their high school graduating class.

• Must be enrolled full-time pursuing a degree in computer science;
• Must have reached senior status as defined by the university;
• Must have demonstrated academic achievements and contributions to the department.

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania;
• Must be a member of the IUP Football Team and exhibit characteristics of putting the team before himself which includes making sacrifices for the good of the team;
• Must be in good academic standing with the University;
• Must demonstrate self-reliance, maturity and flexibility to deal with the challenges and opportunities associated with the University's academic programs.

• Must be enrolled full time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania;
• Must be an incoming undergraduate freshman student;
• Preference for a first-generation college student.

• Must be undergraduate students enrolled full time at the main campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
• Must be pursuing a degree in either Secondary Science Education or Music Education. o 5/6 of the annual available amount shall be used to support students pursuing Secondary Science Education, and 1/6 shall be used to support students pursuing Music Education.
• Must have attained junior standing, as defined by the university, at the time of receipt.
• Must have earned a minimum IUP GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
• Preference for students with financial need as defined by the university.

• Must be enrolled full time pursuing a degree in Safety Sciences.
• Preference for female students.

• Must be an English major in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences;
• Must be a United States citizen;
• Preference given to students with at least a 3.0 GPA at the time of selection;
• Preference given to students with financial need.
• The scholarship is renewable for a total of 8 semesters if the student continues to meet the selection criteria.

• Scholarship recipient must have achieved at least junior standing and have one or more remaining terms to be completed as a major in Consumer Affairs, Fashion Merchandising or Interior Design/Housing within the Department of Human Development & Environmental Studies.
• The recipient must be enrolled full-time and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
• Student must be of good character, demonstrate outstanding achievement in academics, and leadership in university/community services.
• Consideration will be given to financial need.

• Scholarship recipient must have achieved at least junior standing and have one or more remaining terms to be completed as a major in Consumer Affairs, Fashion Merchandising or Interior Design/Housing within the Department of Human Development & Environmental Studies.
• The recipient must be enrolled full-time and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
• Student must be of good character, demonstrate outstanding achievement in academics, and leadership in university/community services.
• Consideration will be given to financial need.

• The student must be from the Pennsylvania counties of Clarion or Armstrong and studying Secondary Education.
• The student must have at least a cumulative "B" average from either their high school (for entering freshman), from another institution of higher education (if transferring to IUP), or from IUP (for continuing students).
• The primary consideration shall be based on the financial need of the student.
• Secondary selection criteria will include the leadership and community service of the student.
• Preference will be given to male students.

• Must complete the established application process.
• Must declare an intention to pursue a teaching career.
• Must be a resident of Pennsylvania with a preference given to residents of Armstrong, Cambria, Indiana, Jefferson and Westmoreland counties.

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania;
• Must be a participating member of the IUP Football Team;
• Must maintain a 2.5 or above grade point average;
• Preference for students with financial need;
• Preference for students who show participation in community service activities beyond what is expected.

• Must be pursuing a degree offered by the Department of English.

• Must be a participating member of the IUP football team.

• Must be enrolled full-time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

• Must be in good academic standing at the time of selection.
• Preference given to students with financial need as defined by the university.

• The first 10 Duggan Distinguished Scholars must come from the Robert E. Cook Honors College (preference should be given to students pursuing a business major).
• All Duggan Scholars must show some financial need in order to attend IUP.
• All Duggan Scholars must have a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) to receive the scholarship as a freshman. All scholars must maintain a 3.0 throughout their tenure at IUP.
• Duggan Scholars are eligible to receive awards for a maximum of 10 semesters.

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania;
• Must be an offensive guard or defensive tackle on the IUP Football Team;
• Must be a resident of Pennsylvania;
• Must be in good academic standing with the University;
• Must demonstrate self-reliance, maturity and flexibility to deal with the challenges and opportunities associated with the University's academic programs.

• Enrolled as a part-time student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania
• Must be a non-traditional student in good standing
• For the candidates that meet the above criteria, preference will be given to male students

• Must be enrolled full-time pursuing a degree in Political Science.

• Must be enrolled full time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Music;
• Incoming freshmen must have earned a minimum high school GPA of 3.0. Continuing students must have earned a minimum IUP GPA of 3.0.
• Half of the Annual Available Amount must be used to provide scholarships to students pursuing a degree in Music Performance. The other half of the Annual Available Amount must be used to provide scholarships to students pursuing a degree in Music Education.

• Must be enrolled full time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania;
• Must be a member of the Robert E. Cook Honors College;
• Must be pursuing a major in music;
• Incoming freshmen must have earned a minimum high school GPA of 3.0. Continuing students must have earned a minimum IUP GPA of 3.0.

• Must be enrolled full time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a declared major in Criminology;

• The awardee must exhibit outstanding musical skills in a particular musical discipline, ie. vocal woodwinds, brass, percussion, etc., which will be judged through an audition conducted for the selection committee.

• A total of four (4) scholarship awards of an equal amount shall be given to eligible and qualified students: *a one (1)-year award shall be given to an entering freshman student at the beginning of his/her freshman year, based upon recruitment credentials; *a one (1)-year award shall be given to a student at the beginning of his/her sophomore year (completion of at least 28 credits), based upon freshman year performance; *a one (1)-year award shall be given to a student at the beginning of his/her junior year (completion of at least 56 credits), based upon preceding academic performance; *a one (1)-year award shall be given to a student at the beginning of his/her senior year (completion of at least 90 credits), based upon preceding academic performance; and, *in the event that any of the preceding awards is/are not made, one award may be given to a graduating senior at his/her departmental commencement/graduation ceremony upon successful completion of the declared academic program and based upon preceding academic performance; otherwise, the unawarded fund shall be reinvested in the scholarship's principal.
• Eligibility is independent of whether or not a student has received an award in a previous class standing (i.e. entering freshman, sophomore, junior or senior) and is based upon continued maintenance of declared major(s) and minor(s)/concentration(s) and good academic progress in both of the declared disciplines. A student may not receive multiple awards of this scholarship while in a given class standing. For continuation of a scholarship award, the Scholarship Committees of the Department of Geography & Regional Planning and the Department of Mathematics shall be jointly responsible for assuring that the recipients meet award requirements as defined in this agreement.

• The purchase of trophies/awards to be given in recognition of ROTC candidate merits.
• Procurement of ROTC particular items which assist the cadets.
• Other items that will enhance the Military Science Department and ROTC program.

• The entire yearly scholarship will be divided in two with one-half of the entire yearly scholarship awarded at the beginning of the fall semester and the remaining one-half awarded at the beginning of the spring semester.

• Must be in good academic standing in accordance with the University's governing policies.
• Must be engaged in volunteer community service to benefit the local community. Students must be engaged in volunteer work that exceeds the volunteer service required as a class project, scholarship fulfillment requirement or other obligatory circumstance in order to be eligible for this scholarship award.
• Must complete an application form by the established deadline.
• The number and value of the award(s) will be determined annually upon review of the applications received and the funds available from the endowed fund with the understanding that a maximum of three (3) awards will be given in a single year.

• Be a non-traditional, incoming freshman student enrolled part-time or full-time in any course of study at IUP.
• Preference will be given to applicants who have children.
• Who has graduated from an Indiana County high school or who has been a resident of Indiana County for at least one year.
• Who does not meet or is not eligible for other private scholarship support.
• Who has submitted the appropriate application materials.
• Continuation of the scholarship award will be determined by an annual review of the recipient's performance and maintenance of the following criteria: a. maintenance of a 2.25 overall grade point average. b. continued residency in Indiana County c. continued evidence of financial need according to University standards.

• Awarded to worthy students registered as seniors, juniors or sophomores

• Initial preference will be given to a participating member of the IUP Football Team who graduated from Penns Manor, Purchase Line, or Marion Center high schools in Indiana County, PA.
• Secondary preference will be given to the place kicker on the IUP Football Team if there are no eligible graduates from the aforementioned high schools.
• In the event the initial and secondary criteria cannot be fulfilled, then the award may be given to any enrolled eligible student-athlete who is a participating member in any recognized varsity sport at IUP who has graduated from Penns Manor, Purchase Line or Marion Center high schools.
• Recipients must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average and be in good academic standing according to the standards set by the University.

• Must be a participating member of any IUP varsity athletic team;
• Must be a full-time student with a declared major in the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology;
• Preference given to students with a 3.25 GPA or higher at time of selection.

• Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student;
• Must be considered a Distinguished Achiever as defined by the Distinguished Achiever Scholar program criteria of: rank in the top tenth of their high school class at the end of the junior year, and/or have scored at least 1,100 on their SAT or Act equivalent;
• Preference given to students who are declared business majors.

• Must be enrolled part-time or full-time pursuing a major in Child Development and Family Relations;

• Preference will be given to students who have served in the US military or who come from a military family background. If no qualified candidate can be found using this preference item, the scholarship may be extended to other students who meet the remaining stated criteria guidelines.

• If an undergraduate student they must have completed their junior year; if a graduate student they must have completed their first semester.

If the student's GPA falls below 3.0, the Scholarship Committee will conduct a review of the student's academic and personal circumstances and render a decision concerning his/her remaining eligibility.

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student with a declared major in Music Education (Euphonium emphasis).

• Has successfully earned credits to be classified as a sophomore, junior or senior level student.
• The award shall be made available for use in the Spring semester of each year.

• Must be involved in leadership activities or hold a leadership position on campus including, but not limited to, IUP Ambassadors, Council of Trustees, Board of Governors, or Greek organizations.

• Must be a full-time student and a participating member of the IUP Men's Basketball Team;
• Preference for a team member who makes his contribution through defense, rebounding, or playmaking (with the understanding that this criterion is subjective to the awarding committee and cannot be verified by the Foundation for IUP);
• Preference for residents of Western Pennsylvania, defined as the western border to Altoona, PA. If there are no eligible candidates from Western Pennsylvania, preference to all Pennsylvania residents.

• Given to incoming freshman students who have declared among the majors of economics, economics pre-law, mathematics/economics or social science education with a concentration in economics.
• A combination of metrics measuring outstanding academic potential from high school are to be used for the academic criteria portion of this scholarship award for incoming freshmen. These metrics include but are not limited to high school GPA, class rank, performance on standardized test scores, difficulty of the high school program, successful completion of college advanced placement courses, and participation in extra-curricular activities that have an academic focus.
• Under exceptional circumstances, cosideration for the award may be extended to students in upper class levels based upon academic and financial factors. Upper class level students must have earned a 3.25 cumulative grade point average as well as a 3.25 GPA in economic major classes for award consideration.
• Eligible students shall demonstrate financial need according to the guidelines employed by the Office of Financial Aid. A written application is to be provided which includes an appropriate essay to provide the Department of Economics Student Affairs Committee with adequate information to select the best candidates for the award. Eligible candidates selected for final award consideration from the initial screening of applications will participate in a personal interview, either on campus or via telephone, with members of the Student Affairs Committee.

• Must be enrolled in either the Masters of Education in School Counseling Program or the Masters of Arts in Counseling Services.
• Applicants should have a 3.5 or higher graduate GPA and have completed 12 credit hours of course work.
• Applicants must complete the student section of the Counseling Faculty Reference Form and submit it to the Chairperson of the Department of Counseling. The Chairperson will circulate the form to the appropriate faculty for completion.
• Applicants must write a brief essay in support of their scholarship application, based upon statements provided by the department faculty.
• The George L. Spinelli Memorial Scholarship shall be awarded by the College of Education during the spring semester each year and announced at the Department of Counseling's commencement ceremonies in May.

• Must participate in an interrelated project or volunteer service through the Office of International Education deemed appropriate by the OIE scholarship committee;
• Preference for students enrolled full-time as defined by the university. Full-time status over the summer is not required if student was enrolled as a full-time student at IUP during previous fall and/or spring semester(s);
• Preference for students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the time of selection;
• Preference for students with financial need as defined by the university;
• Preference for students with either sophomore, junior, or senior status as defined by the university at the time of use;
• Preference for children, step-children, grandchildren, or step-grandchildren of IUP alumni;
• Preference for students with limited or no international travel experience.

• A full-time student enrolled in the Department of Music of IUP.
• The scholarship recipient may be an incoming freshman or an upperclassman.
• The Scholarship Committee of the Department of Music will make the yearly selection of the student(s) and inform the Financial Aid Office so the funds may be released to the recipient. The Committee will also inform the Planned Giving Director in a timely manner who will then inform the Johnson Family and the Foundation office. At that time, a press release will be scheduled.

• Must be a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School.
• Must be selected by the Tussey Mountain High School administration and faculty based solely upon academic merit
• Financial need is not to be a factor in selecting a recipient.
• Must apply, be accepted and enroll in a regular Bachelor's Degree Program at IUP.

• Must be admitted and/or enrolled as a full-time student at IUP.
• Must be a student enrolled as a major within the Department of Music with a concentration in the string program.
• The number of scholarships to be awarded in any given year shall be determined through consultation among the faculty of the Department of Music, the Dean of the College of Fine Arts and representatives from the Foundation for IUP.
• Scholarship awards may be made in varying amounts, but should not exceed $1,000 per student.
• Scholarships may be renewed based upon the student(s)' achieving and maintaining good academic standing and continued enrollment within the Department of Music.

  • The applicant's opinion as to why they are in need of the scholarship. This will be expressed in essay form on the application.

• The applicant for this scholarship must be enrolled at IUP on a full-time basis and a Computer Science major. If only one scholarship is being awarded, the applicant must be female.
• The student must be entering her junior year, (have completed or be involved in at least 60 credits and no more than 90 credits). In addition, the student must have completed at least nine credits of Computer Science at IUP.
• The student(s) with the best overall QPA will be selected to receive the scholarship(s). In the event of a tie, the student(s) with the best Computer Science QPA from the tied students will be selected. If there is still a tie, the student(s) with the greatest number of IUP credits earned from the tied students will be selected. If there is still a tie, the scholarship recipient(s) will be chosen by lot from the tied students.
• By March 1, the Computer Science Department should advertise the scholarship by putting announcements on appropriate bulletin boards and announcing in upper level core classes. Interested students will obtain application forms from the Computer Science Office and will submit these by a published date (to be no later than April 10) to the Financial Aid Office.
• A student may not receive the scholarship in a semester in which he/she is participating in the Computer Science Internship Program, but interns who are selected could receive the scholarship a semester in which they are not in their internship.

• Awards will be given to foreign language majors or minors who have shown marked/great improvement in their language subject from the freshman year on up to the spring semester of their junior year. Selection of qualified students will be made by the scholarship committee of the Department of Foreign Languages or any other appropriate University scholarship committee.
• One $600 scholarship will be awarded annually and applied to the student's account with the University Bursar. The student will receive a certificate of recognition and a copy of the Annotations to the Isolde A. Henninger Award for Achievement at the first convenient departmental meeting. Also a plaque shall be engraved with the name and major or minor of the awardee, the semester and year of the presentation.
• Each department representative (French, German, Spanish) may request funds whenever qualified student recipients are identified. If in any academic year, no recipient is identified who has exhibited marked/great improvement in his or her language subject from the freshman year on up to the spring semester of their junior year, the award will not be presented. If any other language should be added as a 'major' or a 'minor' to IUP's Foreign Languages Program, it will be added as a beneficiary of this account.
• Each department representative (French, German, Spanish) may request funds whenever qualified student recipients are identified. If no suitable recipient(s) is found in any academic year, the award will not be presented. If any other language should be added as a 'major' to IUP's Foreign Language Progarm, it will be added as a beneficiary of the Henninger Fund.
• A portion of the Henninger Fund, equal to $60 per year, shall be designated to support IUP's Language Program and will be used for any purpose deemed beneficial by the faculty supervising the program. This money is to be used as petty cash to help the program cover stationery supplies, copying expenses or any other such necessities.

• Must be enrolled full time pursuing a degree in Computer Science.
• Preference for students with financial need as determined by the university.

• Must be an incoming freshman;
• Must have at least one parent, step-parent, or grandparent that earned a degree (Culinary Certification, Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral) from IUP.  Parent/grandparent must be biological or adoptive.  Preference will be given to students whose parent/step-parent/grandparent earned a Bachelor's degree from IUP.  Children of IUP employees who qualify for a tuition waiver will not be eligible;
• Must have a high school QPA of at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent;
• Must show participation in leadership activities/organizations.  Preference will be given to students  who have held leadership positions in recognized or school sanctioned activities/organizations.

• Must have completed a minimum of 57 credit hours, designated as "junior standing" as a class year at IUP.
